About the Society

Forty years of aeromedicine.

A non-profit, membership-based forum for everyone who moves patients by air across Australia and New Zealand: the clinicians, crews, engineers and services of aeromedical care.

What we do

Aeromedical care includes pre-hospital, inter-hospital, air transport and retrieval clinical care across all age groups, whether broad-based general care or specialty teams.

The Society is focused on education, professional development and sharing, through its conferences and other means, including the information this website provides to members and others. Members are supported to travel to and attend international conferences and seminars, including those of our partner organisations in other parts of the world.

The Society has also developed a set of minimum standards aimed at enhancing optimal patient care while aiming for the highest level of safety. The emphasis is on quality.
